Exploring Ottawa 🧡 Check-in at Parliament Hill

Did you know that many friends thought Vancouver was the capital of Canada before coming to Canada? In fact, the small city of Ottawa is the political and cultural center of Canada. Ottawa may be small, and most of its attractions can be seen in a day, but it is still a must-visit place when you travel to Canada!

✨ Recommended Must-See:
🧡 The most famous landmark in Ottawa is Parliament Hill.
✨ Parliament Hill stands on the grounds of Parliament Hill and is composed of three Gothic-style monumental buildings, symbolizing the indomitable spirit of Canada.
✨ The central building has a landmark clock tower called the Peace Tower. The clock face and magnificent stone carvings make it one of the most recognizable symbols in Canada. Visitors can not only enjoy impressive views from the ground, but also go up to the observation deck of the tower to marvel at the 360-degree panoramic view of Ottawa.
✨ At the front square is the striking Centenary Flame, which has been burning continuously since 1967. Secret tip: It's a great spot for taking photos!

🧡 Overlooking Ottawa River, Parliament Hill can be seen walking along the riverbank, where you will find the backside of Parliament Hill. The bridge on Ottawa River is called the Alexandra Bridge, and from there you can enjoy the Rideau Canal. The Rideau Canal, with a total length of 202 kilometers, connects Ottawa and Kingston. Completed in 1832, it was one of the engineering marvels of the 19th century and adds to the beauty of Ottawa.

🧡 Next to the Alexandra Bridge is the National Gallery of Canada, known for its quirky and glass-panel construction, which is one of the most captivating features of Ottawa's scenery. There is also a huge 30-foot tall spider sculpture. Once inside the museum, you will discover over 40,000 artworks and various special exhibitions held throughout the year.

🧡 Across from the art museum is the Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica, with its symmetrical twin tin towers that stand magnificently. Between the tin roofs stands a golden statue of the Virgin Mary holding the Child Jesus. Inside the church, you will find devout worshipers, immersed in the divine baptism while enjoying the beautiful melodies of the choir in a foreign land.

🧡 The Canadian War Museum, opened in 2005, is one of Ottawa's newest museums. The museum's exhibition spaces cover the entire gamut of Canadian military history, allowing you to deeply immerse yourself in Canada's history. There are various audio-visual aids throughout the museum that help bring Canada's history to life. For those interested in learning more about military conflicts, visiting the museum is a great choice.
